By day, Jim Knott is a longtime technologist who has worked within technology for many industries in the last 25 years. He has worked for large Fortune 100 companies as well as small startups. He is driven by three simple rules:

• Be honest
• Keep it simple
• Your word is everything

He is a passionate, high-energy person with a personality that is positive and encouraging. He believes in being kind, compassionate, appreciative, setting positive goals as well as supporting and encouraging others. He understands that we are all flawed and make mistakes, he has certainly made his. The important thing is what you learn from your mistakes and how you recover from them.

By night, Jim is a father of two daughters and an outdoorsman who enjoys almost all activities under the stars. His weekends are filled with camping, hiking and exploring new places. He is an avid motorcycle rider and offroad explorer. He is also a huge fan of the new space race, watching all the launches.

Giving back is another important pillar of Jim’s beliefs. There are a handful of charities he likes to work with including Allenforce, Ronald McDonald House and Dupage Pads.
